about

Hyacinth: Hyacinth is a short-lived flower; it blooms in spring and probably lasts only three to four years. It’s the short path of life, the narrow middle part of the hourglass where the sand passes through before it settles. A more up-tempo song with a blackened/death approach on guitar riffing but melodic vocals as a lead. Couple of Opeth references with clean guitars at parts and a catchy chorus to accompany it.

lyrics

I am walking a path under a million starts
I am driving through places that ‘re way too far
It looks like I own nothing
But it feels like I owe something

I am learning from others to fill in the blanks
Killing my time because, they are all too young
It looks like I own nothing
But it feels like I owe something

Chorus
Like Hyacinth, that grows in spring
To die years later, for a greater … purpose

Post Chorus
Through fire and flame, all your tries are in vain
And the noose that you ‘ve made of wires and pain
Won’t save you…as you might remain alone in a hurricane
Constantly changing to follow the pack
Compliance of patterns that lead off the track
It looks like I own nothing
But it feels like I owe something

Hungry as jackals and apathy packed
All of those who deny me but they ‘re calling me back
It looks like I own nothing
But it feels like I owe something
